Cecilia Lynne Adlehyde is one of the three main characters from the Playstation RPG "Wild ARMs" (and the PS2 remake "Wild ARMs: Alter Code F.) She is the princess of the kingdom of Adlehyde and the "shrine maiden" for the guardians (the deities that control the natural powers of the planet.) As with the other two main characters, she spends much of the game coming into a self-realization. She constantly struggles with the conflicting personas as the "princess" and as a normal person. Admittedly, she is an overwhelming cliché, but she does the job quite well. Pros: As the only spellcaster in Wild ARMs, Cecilia is invaluable in combat, capable of far more versatility than the two male leads (who would both fall under the classification of "fighter" by most definitions.) Her role as the Shrine Maiden is often what drives the story, and she is instrumental to the plot throughout the entire game. She is compassionate, kind, and easily the most intelligent of the three main characters (though she, like everyone else in the game, is an absolute fool when compared with the talking mouse, Hanpan.) Cecilia, like all the characters in Wild ARMs, is easy to relate to. Though her problems aren't the most natural (struggling with a title doesn't happen to those with no title), she has a realistic personality and she is quite likable. Cons: As far as game mechanics are concerned, Cecilia's main fault is that, like the women in many games, she is fragile. Cecilia's physical attack power is significantly weaker than her two male companions, and both her HP and physical defense are lower (though her magic defense is significantly higher.) For personality, she occasionally becomes whiney, but no more so than the other main characters.
