Harle is a mysterious character that appears in the form of
a Harlequin (jester). Harle was born the night of the electrical storm that Princess Scahla created while she tried to travel ten thousand years into the future and to make contact with Serge. While the electrical storm raged on it weakened FATE's hold on the dragons so that they could create Harle. They created her to destroy FATE and the Humans so the Planet would be once again ruled by the Dragon Gods and Nature. To help achieve this, Harle tricked Lynx/FATE/Wazuki(Serge's dad) into helping her and finding Lucca, the woman that knew how to disable FATE's prometheus switch (a failsafe device that would destroy it). Unfortunately when they attempted this they ended up killing her and instead waited for Serge. Once Serge and company defeated FATE the Dragons were free and Harle went after the Frozen Flame. She joined the other Dragons to become the one big dragon god. She was killed when Serge and company killed the dragon God.
Harle seems to be torn between her 3 loves - Surge, Lynx, and the Dragons - throughout the entire game. Her true intentions are not found out until later on in the game play.
Pros: She’s a strong fighter and isn’t afraid to strut her stuff. She knows what she wants (for the most part) and goes for it, not stopping for anyone that is in her way. Plus, she’s a Dragon… the MOON Dragon. What’s cooler than a sweet looking teenage clown that’s a Moon Dragon?
Cons: Her accent can be a little difficult to understand at first.
Overall (8/10): All of Harle main attributes seem to create a perfect, evil character. Her innocent face, her adorable clothes, and sweet accent make her seem completely harmless, though her powerful attacks and attitude prove very different. Her history is very sad and I actually almost cried when she left my party. I liked her that much… the only other times I was upset in a game
is in FFVII when Aeris died and in Zelda: Ocarina of Time when Saria awoke as the sage of the Forest Temple and said that she and Link would always be best friends forever. Of course, this could be because they were both my favorite characters in each specific game… man, do I know how to pick them or what? Maybe it is because the sweet appearing girl with the tortured soul that is secretly in love with the main character appeals to me? Well, because of Harle’s popularity, perhaps others feel the same as I do.
