The Look (6/10) - Like all the characters in Final Fantasy VII, she is modelled in the japanime style. Her legs are a little longer than normal, which is usual for this style. She is a bit top-heavy as well. Her clothing, a skin-tight halter tank top and black short shorts, is a bit skimpy, however she doesn't come across as "showy". Tifa also wears red and black gloves, big industrial style red boots, and suspenders, giving her a tough-girl look. The word that I find best to describe her overall look is "cute".
Attitude (7/10) - One thing that stood out about Final Fantasy VII is their character development. All the characters in the game had very detailed personas, and were complex in nature. Tifa is no exception. She could have the attitude of a fighter, and the heart of a caring and loving individual. At times, she became jealous of Aeris for becoming close to Cloud, and went off the handle. However, Tifa usually keeps her cool, and had a good sense of direction. Not only was she a tough-girl, but she had a kind heart too.
Intelligence (10/10) - Tifa seems to know what she needs to do with her life and how to proceed. She in no way comes across as any less equal than others in the Avalanche group. She does come across as a bright girl.
Stance (8/10) - Like all Final Fantasy 7 characters, her movement was very cartoony, and her model in the game was very chunky. However, this was the style of this particular game, and it worked. I think it looked good for what it was, although some people I have talked to have disagreed.
Voice (N/A) - Not Applicable. Final Fantasy VIII uses bubbles as speech. It's unfortunate, but perhaps with the release of Final Fantasy VIII that will change.
Scripts (7/10) - This game was designed to play like a movie, so the scripts were really good. Her scripts filled her part really well for the type of role they were putting her into. At times she became really jealous of Aeris, which was funny yet a bit annoying. One of the subplots of this whole game was the unspoken struggle for Cloud's heart, which, although entertaining, seemed a bit unnerving. There were some times when she was weak, but there were times when every character in the game went through some kind of crisis.
Marketing Effort (8/10) - Final Fantasy VII is a hugely popular game. The one commercial that sticks in my mind is the one where the commercial seems to be a commercial for a movie. They mention in the comercial that people say this "movie" couldn't be done, and that those people are right. Then they break it to you that it's a game not a movie. That commercial really did sum up Final Fantasy VII, and the shots in it were interesting and contained some nice shots of the female characters. I believe the commercial targetted both men and women.
