There is a bounty of good games out for the DS right now. In the anime RPG genre there is no shortage of games coming out steadily. Two of the most popular anime franchises have a new game out for DS and both of them aren't half bad.

Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel and Fullmetal Alchemist are two of the most popular anime aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim here in the US, and many of the fans watch and collect both series. Many of the flaws that are complaints in RPG's on the consoles aren't replicated over to the DS version of these games. If you are into either series then you will most likely have some fun with these games.

Conclusion:

No RPG is ever perfect because they are trying to basically pack an entire novel length, or several novel lengths of story in the case of Inuyasha, into one game. It probably isn't easy or we'd see much better RPGs. The genre on DS is evolving though and there have been several good ones this year. This unlikely duo gets a pair of lucky 7's.
