Last year I had the opportunity to test some keyboard products from Ideazon. They make Zboards specialized gaming keyboards with interchangeable key-sets that are designed for specific games like World of Warcraft, Guild Wars and Lord of the Rings. While testing those I suggested that they make a mouse with matching lights to go along with those game keyboards, and now they have.

Reaper Gaming Mouse lights up with the characteristic laser optical red. The top of the mouse is cut out with the logo slashed on it and the red light blazons through it. It matches up with the Zboard gaming keyboards perfectly and makes an attractive set on the desk top.

Performance

Installation took just a few minutes. It plugs right into the regular mouse USB port, or on one of the many USB ports on an Ideazon Zboard Gaming Keyboard. It comes with a software setup program on a mini disk.

Not only does the mouse look good, but it fits perfectly in my hand. My size in a ladies golf glove is medium, so I don't have small hands. But the majority of controllers for games, and mice, even iMac mice, are usually too wide and large to feel comfortable. This mouse has an ergonomic feeling to it. There was science behind this design that you can feel, especially with the arthritis from gaming.

The mouse is very fast. There is a learning curve of about ten minutes to use it with applications, and about the same for each game that you play it with at first. I tried it with two MMO's one of them is in Beta still. Even under the unique set of conditions during the game testing, the new mouse adapted and operated perfectly. The other game that I tried it with was Lord of the Rings Online. In a game that isn't designed for predominately point and click navigation, the Reaper Gaming mouse performed with nimble movements and lightning fast speed.

It has 6 programmable buttons plus a 7th button for ultra-fast DPI switching, which comes in handy when playing an intense and elaborate MMO.

FragMat

To make the mousing even slicker and faster they have come out with the brand new gaming surface called the FragMat. Putting the super fast Reaper mouse on this FragMat was like greased lightening. Your hand has total freedom and much more accuracy than with a normal mouse and mouse-pad. It is very large compared to regular mouse - pads. The FragMat is made of high quality materials and was designed for use with both laser and optical gaming mice. The use of the FragMat with the Reaper mouse provides you with expert gaming performance and control.
