2. Why did you choose to become involved with the Artemis Mod team? Why is it important to you?
Desmodus: I chose to be part of the team because, as a predominantly-female mod team, we can really show the community what we have to offer. The team is important to me because we're all peers who understand each other.
Geo: The Artemis team is an awesome group that I am very proud to be part of. We not only have fellowship with one another but we all have unique skills that, when combined, make up one heck of a team!
Jah: My girlfriend is a founding member of Artemis, and they'd always had some problem getting programmers. When they asked if I wanted to become an official member, I accepted. I'd like to see this first mod by Artemis be successful and lead into bigger and better things.
Jezebel: I became involved with Artemis Software because I thought it would a great way to gain experience as well as open doors to new friendships with fellow female game fiends like myself. :)
Kittenin: The Artemis Mod team is a great team. I feel like I have a chance to show what I know. It's exciting for me, because I want to get a Computer Science degree at some point in my life and I think this is good programming experience for me.
KittyMoon: When I was asked if I had any experience in quake level design and if I would be willing to help out with a map for q3, I had no idea it would be involving any sort of organized mod team. I was surprised and pleased to know id have access to opinions besides my own while I was working on the maps!
MsC: Two of my clan-sisters warned me that if I didn't send in my resume for a position as a writer on the Artemis team, they'd do it for me! As the writer for our team, I handle everything from design documents to 'bot chatter to drafting interview responses. Artemis is important to me because we're showing that this team is, in many respects, no different from other game mod teams - we work hard as a TEAM, and we put out an awesome mod at the end!
Ophelia: I was happy to join the team as 3-D artist. It sounded like a fun project, and females are such a rarity in game development, it seemed like a cool idea to build a whole team. I think the team is important because it's getting a lot of talented people using their skills to do something they love, and sets an example for other people who might think, "oh, I enjoy doing this or that, but I could never really do it professionally."
SuperGirl: I was actually one of the founding members, and probably one of the few founding members still left on the team. Its importance to me is to get more people involved with game development and to also take focus on the lack of female developers
Kornelia: They approached me because of my pro gaming background and asked if I'd be interested in being part of the team. I said I'd be happy to help out any way I can and I'm supporting them all the way! :)
