Geek Woman: How do you get new members to join?
KSI Broken Angel: "Mostly new members are found when playing Halo 2 matchmaking, but girls can sign up at the Sirens website too."
KSI Destiny: I go into matchmaking games or custom games, and find them there. Figure out if they have enough respect to join, and yes gaming skills do matter, but I give them all a chance, and I help train their skills so they can get better, but I ask them, and see if they are up to joining KSI.
KSI Queen: Anyone who is interested can contact a member of KSI and ask to join. The process is easy and KSI is always looking for new recruits.
KSI Lady Zen: Taking my own experiences you can only get people to join a team by showing them respect as a player and as a person. I find that sending people friend requests and playing with them, allowing the person to get to know you a little as a player is quite effective. People gain respect for not only the gamer but for the team when you leave a good impression. Me personally I've only recruited females, but when I do recruit them I try to find girls I know or that have seen me play.
Geek Woman: Is the female division worldwide?
KSI Broken Angel: Yeah I'm in the UK and we are currently looking for new members across all of Europe."
KSI Destiny: Yes, it is world wide. KSI Sirens accepts everyone all around the world.
KSI Queen: Unfortunately there are not that many females who play. KSI is always looking for more girls to join and one of its major goals is to increase the enthusiasm of gaming amongst females. KSI wants to diversify the online gaming and not make it as male dominated as it currently is.
KSI Lady Zen: Well I can say that as ONE of the female gamers that lives outside of the United States that, yes KSI Sirens is world wide. We would love to see more females from all different countries join, its just the matter of finding them.
Geek Woman: Where are most of the Sirens from?
KSI Broken Angel: Mostly the United States .
KSI Destiny: Most of the ladies are from the United states , but I have one or two that are from the United Kingdom .
KSI Queen: The girls from Sirens are from everywhere. They range from Canada , Washington, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and anywhere else you can think of. I love that I get to meet girls that have as much a passion for video games from different parts of the world.
KSI Lady Zen: Most of the female gamers in general live in the United States . I've only met one other girl gamer aside from myself who lives in Canada
Geek Woman: What games are you playing? Is there a clan for original Xbox as well as 360? Are there any PC gamers in your clan? Why do you prefer the Xbox platform?
KSI Broken Angel: Almost every game that has clan support we have one in and if there isn't then let us know and we'll make one! Mostly I play Halo 2, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat and Ghost Recon 3: Advanced Warfighter. My main reason for the xbox? That's easy...Xbox Live
KSI Destiny: The games I am currently playing are Halo 2 and Quake 4. Yes, KSI is for both the original clan as well as the 360. Yes, KSI has a War Of Warcraft Division which is on PC also. The reason why I prefer the Xbox platform is that I am so used to using the controls on the console that it would be difficult for me to switch to a different console because it would just not feel the same. As well as the games are another reason why I prefer Xbox.
KSI Queen: Currently I am playing many different games on different consoles. I just got into PC games and am playing Guild Wars and Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth. I am playing Beyond Good and Evil on the PS2 but somehow I always manage to keep coming back to Halo 2. Clans exist in both the original XBOX and XBOX 360. You can choose to remain in your own clan or start a new one. Clans crossover to both boxes. I love the XBOX platform because it can play Halo. Halo has to be my all time favorite game, which has made me an XBOX addict.
KSI Lady Zen: I grew up playing on many different platforms. I found the Xbox to be the most suitable for games of the First Person Shooter genre. If I am correct there are several different teams, I personally don't own a Xbox 360 but I believe there are other teams and individuals representing KSI on the 360. As for PC gamers, I'm pretty sure we'd love to have more PC gaming teams.
