Recently Geek Woman interviewed the Wars Sisters, a female PC gaming clan that mainly play Day of Defeat and Counter Strike. They were candid and honest about success, defeat and sisterhood. They all joined the clans for different reasons—some to play with their husbands, and one girl even met her boyfriend through the games. Look out guys, that girl next door may just be pwning you online soon.

Geek Woman: You play Day of Defeatis that the only game that you play?

Bella:
I play DoD 1.3 and day of defeat source.   I've occasionally played the online golf and am going to try silkroad.

Electra: No I play DoD:S as well as DoD.

X-quisite: I sometimes play Counter Strike 1.6, that's the first computer game I ever started playing.

*wS* Kat: I mostly play CSS, but have filled in at times for some DoD:S and once a DoD 1.3 match. I co-lead the CSS division with Rose. It sucks sometimes because, DoD:S has a lot more creeps than CSS. I don't always compensate very well.

Geek Woman: Can you explain the relationship between DOD, DODs, and Half Life?

Bella: Half Life is a first-person shooter computer game. Day of Defeat is an expansion or mod of Half Life, it's a first-person WWII shooter.

Electra: DoD and DoD:S are mods of Half Life.

X-quisite: DoD is a relatively old game, yet it provides the ability to have great competetive play.  The graphics are decent and can perform relatively well on most computers today.  The game itself lacks certain realism that most modern gamers look for in a game today. But I still like it. DoD:S may be one of the most hardware demanding games out there, since it's relatively new, it hasn't been a great source of good competetive play but that can change within the next year or two. This game provides some top-of-the-line technology, such as ragdolls and realistic animations that the new generation of gamers look for in a game. Although there are bugs with this game it's relatively safe to say it's a great game for the experienced and the new players of this community.

Geek Woman: You seem to be dedicated PC gamers, do you play consoles as well as a clan?

Bella:
We only compete in PC games at the moment: Day of Defeat, Day of Defeat Source and CounterStrike Source. However, as our numbers and popularity keep growing... branching out into different directions is definitely a possibility.

Electra: No not at this time although I think that sounds like it would be great fun.

X-quisite: No I don't.
