First Impressions:

Disney's Chicken Little: Ace in Action has come a long way from the first offering in the franchise that took place in Oakey Oaks, Chicken Little's hometown. This game is darker and much less cozy. It is still a game that is directed at kids and carries the "E 10+" rating for Everyone ten years old and up. It's alot more complex and you aren't playing as the beloved little chick. Instead the superhero alter ego of Chicken Little, named Ace is the main character.

For this version you play as the Hollywood characters of his band of friends. Runt the pig, Abby the ugly duckling, and Ace the superhero chicken that reminds me of old Foghorn Leghorn. The crew of the intergalactic Battle Barn will be blasting away against Foxy Loxy and her evil Amazonian sidekick, Goosey Loosey, who have an evil plan to take over Earth.

Graphics:

The graphics are pretty good. Even though the backgrounds and the terrain like snow or the green stuff that must be grass is featureless, the effects and objects are ok. There are many items and structures that are bright and colorful, which are contrasted against dark backdrops of the environments and enemies. The explosions and smoke effects are good. The best thing about the game is blowing things up. Unfortunately blowing things up gets repetitive as it's the same explosion effect over and over again.

Sound/Music:

The voice acting saves the game. It is good to hear the snarky comments of the original cast Zach Braff, Steve Zahn and Joan Cusack all return as Chicken Little, Runt and Abby. The voice of Ace is supplied by Adam West. The musical score is nothing remarkable and it isn't more than average.
