Show your Halloween spirit! Take a picture of yourself in costume this Halloween and submit it to WomenGamers.Com for a chance to win some great prizes. We're giving away a Nintendo DS bundled with Magnetica and Animal Crossing, and autographed copies of Sarah McKerrigan's latest romance novels. All you have to do is take a picture of yourself in costume with a piece of paper somewhere in the shot that says, "WG Contest".

You can be anything you want. It does not have to be a game character. You can be funny, scary, gross, classic, elaborate, etc. A panel of judges will look at the costumes and pick out ones they like based on various different reasons. We will then define and award prizes accordingly.

Q: Is the Halloween contest is open for everybody or for US residents only?

A: No, it’s worldwide. Anyone can compete. However if you win a Nintendo DS, it will be an American version. You’d have to find whatever power adapters you need for your country.

Some people have sent me early submissions without putting a piece of paper in the shot that says, "WG Contest". PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH THAT PIECE OF PAPER. Otherwise we won't know if you grabbed someone elses picture off the Internet to pass it off as your own.

Congratulations to the winners! It was such a close contest-- I had a hard time picking my favorite! And just about every time a judge responded with their vote, it would change who was in 1st place.
