Porn Found On Game Bought In Modesto

Postby Atari on Sun Dec 31, 2006 9:15 am

Christmas turned X-rated for a 14-year-old Layton boy who found pornography -- not football -- on a video game he received as a gift. Kolton Mahoney said he saw an explicit image on the television screen after putting the Madden NFL 07 game into his new Xbox 360 console. CBS13 has the story.

"This is definitely not Madden," Mahoney said recalling his first thought. Mahoney's parents also viewed the video and said they were stunned.

Err... EA made a boo-boo? Just return the game and get another one. Though it is interesting how this one game contained this image. :?

Actually from the story-- I'm thinking the whole disk was porn.

How could EA sell 5 million+ copies and only one has porn on it? I mean they must have burned from the same master... if it were in EA's game, it would be on everyone's game.

Really. A little more of this and I might actually buy a Madden game.

It probably got swapped at the retailer. Some people like to vandalize games, and I think some places have the ability to repackage the game so that it looks like it was never opened. That's unfortunate, though.

Indeed, it's pretty easy to repackage things that are shrink-wrapped these days. I think it's more likely that this happened at the factory than at the store, if the shrink wrap was the normal "I'm going to kill whoever invented this crap" kind.

Then again, the article, as always, paints the incorrect picture. The implication is that the game had porn, instead of a disk swap. The person writing the article clearly doesn't understand the difference between "video game" and "disk" either.

Actually, the whole article is written pretty terrible. They need a new employee.
