Most gamers don't look at game credits too carefully, but to the game developers who spent years on a title, that information can bring validity to a resume.  Even so, Mythic is purposely omitting credit for people who left the company before the launch of Warhammer Online. An anonymous former developer is considering legal action. GameDaily has the story.

"This has been an ongoing problem in this industry for many years," said the developer to Shacknews. "I spent three years on WAR and I, including many other people who spent just as much if not close to the same amount of time, will NOT be credited in the game."

You can also read an interview with Mythic VP Mark Jacobs on MTV where he obviously feels no obligation to properly credit those who have left:

He admitted that there may have been some people who left the company on less than amicable terms. “In some of the cases that people left, some of them hadn’t done a great job for us,” he said. “Or some left just in a lurch. Do I feel badly for that? No, I don’t feel badly at all. I’m not going to shed a single tear for any of those guys.”
