Urban
Chaos throws the player into the familiar modern myth of the
Urban Jungle; the game will create the dark menacing environment
of our inner city nightmares. Not just a hack or blast-fest,
although accessible and sublimely cathartic at times, to succeed
in Urban Chaos a lethal combination of menacing stealth, physical
agility and martial skills are required. The game features beat-em-up,
shoot-em-up and platform gameplay elements in a 3D scaleable,
rotatable city. An advanced 3D engine allows multiple character
combat & scenery interaction: use in-game objects as weapons,
smash & leap through windows, fight your way up fire escapes,
jump from balconies onto enemies below.
The
game is set slightly in the future and takes place in a City
on the brink of the realisation of a prediction from Nostrodamus.
It tells us of the coming of the King of terror and the imminent
destruction of the world as we know it. The player has two characters
at their disposal given different playing styles: Darci:
an agile, street savvy cop and Roper: experienced, jaded and
a little slower on his feet. The player has complete freedom
to explore the city, from rooftops and car parks to subways
and sewers. The viewpoint is mainly pushed perspective with
the city rotating around the player this is for best visual
effect and for the all important gameplay element. The camera
is dynamic and intelligent and provides a context sensitive
view-point that will change in focal length and angle to maximise
the user friendliness of the interface and to create the most
atmospheric and cinematic experience.
Features:
- Mission
based action with an involving story line. The strong plot
draws the player in and gives them the opportunity to overcome
its outcome any way they desire.
- City
is "alive" with citizens who interact with the main characters-you
can choose to assist non-player characters with both information
and new weapons. Over forty unique NPCs to interact with.
- Multiple
modes of combat-action: hand-to-hand fighting, heavy weaponry
face-offs, vehicle chases, building shoot-outs, etc.
- Ability
to command a variety of vehicles.
- Ground-breaking
graphics engine that includes 3D volumetric fog, true wall
hugging shadows and atomic matter simulation for real-time
physical modelling of dynamic object collisions.
- The
atmosphere of the game is enhanced with a variety of environmental
effects that include rain, fog, snow, night and day.
