MYST
III: EXILE takes place ten years after the events in
RIVEN. Atrus and Catherine, the husband and wife characters
whom players rescued in the first two games, have moved
away from Myst island and are living quietly in a new
home called Tomahna. Graced by a recent addition to
their family (a baby daughter named Yeesha), the pair
hope to start a new life together, free of the tragedies
in their past.
That
hope will quickly be shattered by the arrival of a mysterious
new villain, played by Academy Award nominee Brad Dourif
(One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest). A bitter man whose
home world was destroyed by Atrus and Catherine's two
sons, this man surfaces in EXILE to seek revenge-and
it will be up to the player to stop him.
