It
looks as though Blizzard Entertainment has come up with yet
another exciting and entertaining game in the Warcraft series.
Warcraft III is the latest and greatest production from Blizzard
Entertainment, and just watching the trailers to this game
gets you pumped for the action. In fact, Warcraft III looks
as if it will be just as good, if not better, than the games
that have come before it in the series.
One new
special feature that Warcraft III has besides larger and more
detailed characters is isometric camera angles. These
inovative camera angles truly add to the enjoyment and excitement
of the game by allowing for scrolling, free form building
and providing the ability to control individual units independently
without hero characters.
In Warcraft
III, you have to be not only tough but smart as well. You
have to control your forces at the same time as you devise
strategies to win the game. Your forces may be from any of
four different races: Orcs, Humans, Demons and the Undead.
The Orcs
are a group fighting their past. They use ancient Shamanistic
magic of their rediscovered culture to combat their enemies,
and they concentrate most of their skill in the realm of brute
strength and melee combat.
Humans
have both a strong military and powerful magic to combat their
enemies. They concentrate their skill in the realm of technology
and use it to alter their environment. They also use armor,
weapons, machines and the domestication of animals to aid
them in their quest for victory.
Demons
make up the Burning Legion, an army full of demonic beings
and horrifying creatures. They seem to be the left-overs from
another world and dimension; however, they are a force to
be reckoned with, using their unstoppable melee fighters and
the apocalyptic green fires of entropy as their primary tactical
weapons.
The Undead
army, better known as the Scourge, consists of thousands of
walking corpses, disembodied spirits, damned mortal men and
insidious extra-dimensional entities. This is quite a scary
bunch. The Undead are very difficult to beat because of their
rejuvenating powers on the battlefield.
Using
any of these five races, along with any heroes you have, to
develop your forces, you should be very prepared for the battle
you face in Warcraft III. I think you will find it to be a
great game, complete with 3D worlds and environmental effects.
And even if you do get bored playing alone, which I do not
think you will, you can always play multiplayer games over
the Internet. Custom design is also an added bonus . Warcraft
III should be one of the best new games of the year, and I
highly recommend checking it out.
